Organiser Terms

These terms apply to anyone who becomes an organiser on QueerHere on or after 25 October 2026. If you were already an organiser before that date, they apply to you from 24 November 2026. Until then, section 5 of our Terms of Use dated 9 October 2026 applies.

1. Who we are and who you are

1.1 We are GRYD Group Limited, trading as QueerHere. We are registered in England and Wales.

1.2 "We", "us" and "QueerHere" mean GRYD Group Limited.

1.3 "You" means the community, venue, promoter or other organiser that claims a page, creates an event, sells a membership or buys a plan. If you do any of these for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organisation.

1.4 "Buyer" means anyone who books a ticket or takes out a membership through QueerHere. "Attendee" means a buyer or guest who attends your event. "Member" means a buyer with an active membership plan you sell. "Booking fee" means our fee under clause 4 when the buyer pays it.

2. When these terms apply

2.1 These terms apply from the first time you do any of the following:

2.2 They apply alongside:

2.3 If these terms and the pricing page disagree, these terms win. If these terms and a written agreement signed by us disagree, the signed agreement wins.

3. How QueerHere works

3.1 QueerHere is a directory of queer communities, venues and events, with a what's-on guide, ticketing and memberships. It runs on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.

3.2 We are the platform. You are the seller.

3.3 You are responsible for the event, the membership and everything that happens at or under them. We are not.

3.4 We may add, change, limit or withdraw features. We will not use this clause to get around clauses 6, 8 or 22.

4. What you pay: fees

4.1 Tickets. Our fee on a paid ticket booking is 7% of the face price of the tickets in it, with a minimum of 59p per booking. There is no maximum. The fee includes VAT where it applies.

4.2 Memberships. Our fee on a membership payment is 7% of each payment. You pay it: it is taken from each payment before it reaches you. The fee includes VAT where it applies.

4.3 Free events and £0 plans. No fee.

4.4 Fee basis. We always calculate the fee on the face price you set. Never on the total the buyer pays.

4.5 Same fee on every plan. No plan changes the fee. Buying a paid plan does not lower it. Staying on the Free plan does not raise it.

4.6 Worked examples.

  1. £10 ticket, buyer pays the fee
    1. Face price: £10.00
    2. Fee: 7% of £10.00 = £0.70
    3. Buyer is charged: £10.70
    4. You receive: £10.00
  2. £3 ticket, buyer pays the fee
    1. Face price: £3.00
    2. 7% of £3.00 = £0.21, which is below the minimum
    3. Fee: £0.59
    4. Buyer is charged: £3.59
    5. You receive: £3.00

4.7 Card processing. Our fee includes Stripe's standard processing charges on each booking and membership payment. You do not pay them separately. Dispute fees are handled under clause 9.6.

5. Who pays the fee

5.1 On tickets, buyers pay our fee, on top of the ticket price. On memberships, you pay our fee (clause 4.2).

5.2 We plan to let you choose to pay the ticket fee yourself instead. We will tell you before that starts, under clause 8.

5.3 Every price a buyer sees on QueerHere includes every fee they must pay. You must not advertise a lower price for a QueerHere booking anywhere else.

6. The Free plan

6.1 Claiming a page and listing your community, venue and events is free.

6.2 There is no time limit on the Free plan. We will not start charging for it.

6.3 The Free plan includes the features shown for it on our pricing page at the time you use them.

6.4 Our fee under clause 4 applies to paid tickets and memberships on the Free plan in the same way as on every other plan.

7. Paid plans

7.1 We are introducing paid plans: Starter, Plus, Pro and Ultimate. They are not on sale yet. When they are, we will publish what each includes and costs on our pricing page, email you, and add the terms for buying, renewing, cancelling and downgrading a plan to these terms under clause 22.

7.2 Until then, every organiser is on the Free plan under clause 6.

8. Changing fees and plans

8.1 We can change our fees, plan prices and what plans include. If we do, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

8.2 Fees. A change to our fee applies to bookings and membership payments made on or after the effective date. Bookings made before that date keep the fee that applied when they were made.

8.3 Plan prices. If we raise the price of a plan you are on, you keep your current price until the first renewal after the 30 days' notice has ended. You can cancel before then and pay nothing more.

8.4 The Free plan stays free. Clause 8 never lets us charge for the Free plan or put a time limit on it.

8.5 If you do not accept a change, you can cancel your plan or close your account before it takes effect.

9. Getting paid: Stripe and payouts

9.1 We use Stripe to take payments and pay you. To sell tickets or memberships you must:

9.2 You must not sell anything on Stripe's list of restricted businesses.

9.3 When we pay you.

9.4 Your payouts. Your admin console shows each payout and, for each event, as separate lines:

9.5 Holds. We can hold all or part of a payout where:

We hold only the amount reasonably needed, and we tell you why. We do not hold a payout for more than 60 days, unless refunds, a dispute or a legal requirement make it necessary.

9.6 Chargebacks. If a buyer's bank reverses a payment, we deduct the reversed amount from your later payouts. We pay any dispute fee Stripe charges. If no payout covers the amount within 7 days, we recover it by reversing the transfer we made to your Stripe account for that event. If we still cannot recover it, you must pay us the rest when we ask.

9.7 Taxes. You are responsible for any tax due on what you sell, including VAT on your ticket and membership prices.

10. Refunds and cancellations

10.1 If you cancel an event. Every buyer gets a full refund, including our fee. We return the fee whoever paid it. We process the refunds through Stripe. Any payout already made for that event is recovered under clause 10.7.

10.2 If a buyer asks for a refund and you agree. We refund the ticket price. We keep our fee. You can choose to refund it to the buyer yourself. If you do, we deduct it from your next payout.

A membership payment can be refunded within 14 days of being made. When it is, we refund our fee on it too.

10.3 Resales and swaps. Where the platform lets a buyer resell or swap a ticket, our fee stays with the original booking. No new fee is charged and none is refunded.

10.4 Your own policy. You can set a refund policy that is more generous than clauses 10.1 and 10.2. You cannot set one that is less generous than clause 10.1.

10.5 Consumer law. Buyers have rights under consumer law that you must honour. In particular:

10.6 If we cancel an event. We can cancel an event in serious cases, where we reasonably believe that:

When we cancel an event:

If we cancel an event because you broke these terms, clause 20.4 covers our costs, including any fees we refund.

10.7 Recovering refunds. If refunds due under clause 10.1 or 10.6 are more than the money we hold for that event, we deduct the difference from your later payouts. If no payout covers it within 7 days, we recover it by reversing the transfer we made to your Stripe account for that event. If we still cannot recover it, you must pay us the rest when we ask. This is separate from chargebacks under clause 9.6.

11. Your content

11.1 "Your content" means what you publish on QueerHere as an organiser: your page, event listings, images, descriptions and membership plan details. Chat messages are not covered by this clause. Our Terms of Use cover them.

11.2 You own your content.

11.3 You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, adapt for display, and promote your content on and off QueerHere, for as long as it is on the platform and for a reasonable time after, so we can:

We do not sell your content to anyone to use for their own purposes. We do not use it to advertise other organisers' events.

11.4 You confirm that:

11.5 If you use our name or logo, you use them as we provide them. You do not darken, recolour, distort, crop or combine them with anything that suggests we endorse you or that you are part of us.

12. Your events and listings

12.1 Your listings must be accurate and kept up to date. That includes:

12.2 Statements about accessibility, entry conditions and what to expect are yours. Buyers rely on them. We display them; we do not check them.

12.3 You are responsible for:

12.4 You must not list an event that you do not have the right to sell tickets for.

12.5 Adults-only spaces. We do not currently list events with a darkroom, playroom or other adults-only space. How pages get listed explains what we list.

13. Attendee and member data

13.1 When someone books a ticket or membership with you, we share with you what you need to run it: their name, what they bought, and check-in status.

13.2 You are a separate controller for that data under UK data protection law. We are a separate controller for our own use of it as a platform. This clause 13 sets out how we share that data with you and what you may do with it.

13.3 You may export an event's guest list from your admin console. Once you do, you are responsible for it.

13.4 You may use attendee and member data only to:

13.5 You must not:

13.6 Never out anyone. Being on a list for a queer community or event is itself private information. You must not disclose anyone's attendance, membership, identity or personal details outside your community without their consent, unless the law requires it.

13.7 If someone asks you to delete their data or stop contacting them, you do so, and you tell us if the request also covers data we hold.

13.8 If you lose attendee data or it is accessed without permission, you tell us within 24 hours of finding out.

14. Chat

14.1 Chat is optional. It is off unless you switch it on.

14.2 If you switch chat on, you moderate it. That means:

14.3 When a member reports a message, your community's owners and managers see the reported message, the reporter's name and their email, so you can deal with it. You use those details only to deal with the report. Our admins see the report too, and can step in at any time. If a report is about you, or about someone you are closely connected to, you must pass it to us and not deal with it yourself.

14.4 We can read, remove or restrict chat where we reasonably need to for safety, security or legal reasons.

15. Bringing your events to QueerHere

15.1 You can import your events from another platform by link.

15.2 By importing an event, you confirm that you are allowed to list it and that its details are accurate.

15.3 You can list your events on QueerHere and elsewhere at the same time. We do not ask for exclusivity.

16. Unclaimed pages

16.1 We create pages for communities, venues and events from information that is already public: websites, social profiles, listings and posts.

16.2 An unclaimed page shows public information only. It does not sell tickets or memberships. It may name the people who publicly present themselves as running it.

16.3 If a page is about you, you can:

We act on a removal request within 5 working days of having what we need.

16.4 To claim a page you give us a link that shows you run the community, venue or event, such as your website, Instagram or a public post. We check claims by hand. We can refuse a claim we cannot verify.

17. Acceptable use

17.1 You must not use QueerHere to:

18. Suspension, ending your account, and your data afterwards

18.1 We can suspend or restrict your account, page, event or plan without notice where we reasonably believe you have:

In serious cases, we can also cancel an event under clause 10.6.

We tell you what we have done and why, unless doing so would put someone at risk or is unlawful.

18.2 We can end these terms:

18.3 You can end these terms at any time by closing your account.

18.4 When these terms end:

18.5 Clauses 9.6, 10.7, 11.3, 13, 20, 21 and 24 continue after these terms end.

19. What we promise and what we don't

19.1 We will run QueerHere with reasonable skill and care.

19.2 We do not promise that:

How pages get listed explains how pages and events are ordered on QueerHere.

19.3 Apart from clause 19.1 and anything the law implies that we cannot exclude, the platform is provided as it is.

20. Our liability to you

20.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for:

20.2 We are not liable for:

20.3 Our total liability to you under these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £500 if that is more.

20.4 You are responsible for losses we suffer because you have broken these terms, including claims by buyers, attendees or third parties about your event, your content or your use of their data.

21. Our name, logo and platform

21.1 The QueerHere name, logo, website, apps, software and design belong to us or our licensors.

21.2 You may use our name and logo to say that you are on QueerHere, in the form we provide. Nothing else, without our written permission.

21.3 You must not copy, change, sell, reverse engineer or build on the platform, except as these terms or the law allow.

22. Changing these terms

22.1 We can change these terms. We will email you and post the new version at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or is needed urgently for safety or security.

22.2 If you keep using QueerHere after the effective date, the new terms apply to you. If you do not accept them, close your account before the effective date.

22.3 Changes to fees and plans follow clause 8, not this clause.

23. Relationship between us

23.1 These terms do not make us partners, joint venturers, agents, employer and employee, or anything similar.

23.2 You cannot act for us, represent us or bind us. You must not say that you can.

23.3 Nothing you do on QueerHere, including feedback, pilot participation or being an early organiser, gives you any share in our business, revenue or equity.

24. Complaints, law and courts

24.1 If something goes wrong, email support@queerhere.com. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

24.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

24.3 The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you can bring a claim in your local courts.

24.4 If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

24.5 These terms, the documents in clause 2.2, and any signed agreement with us are the whole agreement between us about QueerHere.
